Job Description
We are looking for a passionate, professional Leasing Specialist to assist us with our leasing needs to the properties and maintaining resident relations. The Leasing Specialist will take calls within a region to promote a positive atmosphere to prospects and portray a favorable image of the community to our tenants. To be successful you will need to balance the needs of the property and their tenants. Achieve occupancy and rental goals. The person in this position should be proficient in multitasking, organized, demonstrates strong interpersonal skills, and delivers an excellent sales experience. Accountable for: securing appointments and presenting community features to maximize rentals, providing exceptional customer service to prospects and residents, and performing all administrative duties related to the on-site sales/marketing/leasing functions.
The Leasing Specialist will work in our Relation's Department here at the corporate office in Danville, CA or possibly remote. This position reports to the Community Relations Supervisor. The Leasing Specialist, in their respective region will also work with the on-site Property Team Members with scheduling property tours, rental increases and lease renewals, as well as reporting property maintenance issues.
Key responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following:
- Recording and updating details of a prospective and existing tenants into a computer database.
- Leasing apartments and selling the complexes amenities to prospective residents from the corporate office
- Provide a quality leasing experience for future residents as it relates to their interaction with the community
- Generate timely lease offers and follow-up with document signatures for residents whose leases are expiring.
- Always provides professional service, exercising discretion as it relates to confidential resident, property, and company information
- Assists residents with work order requests, ensuring quality completion, timeliness, and follow-up.
- Informing maintenance staff of property and resident issues.
- Informing residents of property rules
- Maintaining and documenting property and resident relations
- Compliance with company standards as defined in the Company Policy Manual and applicable laws, e.x: Fair Housing, Landlord Tenant, Local Building Codes, OSHA, and EEOC
Qualifications:
- Must be able to speak both English and Spanish fluently
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Three years industry experience with proven track record of high closing ratio, or related experience
- Previous supervisor experience
- Strong sales, marketing, and customer service experience
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Ability to read and write English; speak English and understand spoken English
- Ability to utilize a personal smart device for apps related to property operations and communication
- Proficient understanding of the Microsoft Suite and RealPage plus Funnel and/or Knock, knowledge preferred
- Fluent in Spanish
