Job Description
This position will be responsible for the analysis, design, testing, development, and maintenance of best-in-class software experiences. The candidate is a self-motivated individual who can collaborate with a team and across the organization. The candidate takes responsibility of the software artifacts produced adhering to U.S Bank standards to ensure minimal impact to the customer experience. The candidate will be adept with the agile software development life cycle and DevOps principles.
Essential Responsibilities:
* Responsible for designing, developing, testing, operating, and maintaining products using React.js.
* Takes full stack ownership by consistently writing production-ready and testable code.
* Consistently creates optimal design adhering to architectural best practices; considers scalability, reliability and performance of systems/contexts affected when defining technical designs.
* Makes sound design/coding decisions keeping customer experience in the forefront.
* Exhibits relentless focus in software reliability engineering standards embedded into development standards.
* Embraces emerging technology opportunities and contributes to the best practices in support of the bank's technology transformation.
Basic Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
* Five to six years of relevant experience
Preferred Skills/Experience
* Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model
* Knowledge of OOP and patterns
* Extensive hands-on experience in ReactJS
* Extensive experience on creating Micro front end applications
* Modern JS (browser + Node.js), CSS, SCSS and HTML5
* Good Experience in NextJS / other Javascript frameworks
* Front end state management Redux, ContextAPI, React Hooks etc
* Client API GrapQL, Apollo Client, Axios, Fetch wrapper etc
* Knowledge of accessibility(A11y) and hands on experience with implementation along with supporting tools. WCAG 2.0 and above ADA compliance tools.
* Reusable React JS component development.
* Extensive experience on Responsive design system
* Experience with Micro frontend architecture
* Experience with Webpack with the entire ecosystem
* Understanding the architecture of web applications, what's going on under the hood
* At least a basic understanding of web application performance Tools and libraries, cache management, state management.
* SCSS / CSS 3, Style components
* Webpack 4 and above
* Knowledge of modern authorization mechanisms, such as JSON Web Token
* Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and CICD tools like Jenkins, Cloudbees etc
* Experience with common front-end development tools such as Babel, Webpack, NPM, etc.
* Familiarity with code versioning tools (GIT, TFS)
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
