Director of Pricing

Oasis Staffing Jacksonville, FL Full Time

Oasis Staffing is currently recruiting for a Director of Pricing for an established logistics company located in the Mandarin area of Jacksonville Florida.


A Director of Pricing is a mid-level position in freight brokerage and should be able to manage pricing flatbed, dry van, reefer, drayage and OD lanes. The day-to-day responsibilities are:

Ø Provide spot pricing to Logistics Specialists at their request.

Ø Price small and large bids, getting contracted rates from carriers to service those shipments.

Ø Provide pricing trends to the team on a weekly basis.

Ø Develop pricing SOPs and ability to retain data.

Ø Measure win/loss ratio of RFPs and spot bids.

Ø Build a pricing team as the organization grows.

Ø Interface and service all pricing needs of all team members.

Ø Solve Problems.

Ø Other duties as needed.

Position Qualifications

The applicant must:

Ø Have experience in pricing truckload freight using DAT Rate Index, RateMate, etc.

Ø Be organized, very detail oriented, and a multitasker.

Ø Effectively create and manipulate documents utilizing the Microsoft Office suite, including, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Advanced level expertise in Excel, including but not limited to, pivot tables, complex formula creation, VLOOKUPS, etc.

Ø BI tools preferred (PowerBI, MicroStrategy, Tableau, etc.)

Ø Exhibit good phone skills for contact with customers, carriers, and team members.

Ø Have strong problem-solving skills. Ideal candidate would be capable of building and developing a team to meet the growing demands of the organizations strategic pricing needs.

Ø Ability to lead projects and proposals from start to finish.

Ø Bachelor degree or above required, but equivalent background and experience might be considered.

Ø 5 years of logistics experience.

Job Status: Full-time

Salary: Based on experience.
