Job Summary
Responsible for the advancement of best practice standards & continuous quality improvement in the ICUs at Hartford Hospital, which include a Medical ICU, Surgical ICU, Cardiac ICU, Neurosurgical ICU, and Cardiothoracic ICU.  Identifies and assists in the operationalization of quality and safety practices in the daily operations across units. The position does integrate knowledge of critical care and quality standards across the units. The role creates an environment that promotes professional practice, and strives for excellence in all aspects of the clinical care in our interdisciplinary ICU team setting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's of Science in Nursing required
  • 5 years experience in critical care and experience in specialty background (cardiology, surgery, etc.)
  • Current unrestricted CT RN license
  • BLS and ACLS required. Additional certifications desirable. 
  • Strong teaching and mentoring skills
