The Women’s Services department is comprised of 18 private rooms in labor and delivery, each fully equipped to deliver babies of all gestational ages. 10 of these rooms are routinely used for laboring patients, and 8 are dedicated to high risk antepartum patients. The department also has an OB-ED of 5 beds. We have two operating rooms and a two-bed PACU.
The department is staffed with highly skilled labor and postpartum nurses, as well as Lactation Consultants 7 days/week. In Labor and Delivery, we work with in-house OB Techs to provide the surgical support needed to respond to any emergency, as well as unit secretaries. We also have OB hospitalists 24/7, 24/7 anesthesia support, and 24/7 neonatology available. We partner daily with our Level III NICU, to provide expected or unexpected newborn support to our tiniest patients.
