Team Hornet Software Quality Assurance

DCS Corp Ridgecrest, CA (Onsite) Full-Time

Salary Range: $68,640 - $80,000

Evaluate and verify F/A-18 Software Development products and software activities adhere to established standards and processes as identified in the Process Manual, Software Quality Assurance Plan (SQAP), Software Configuration Management Plan (SCMP), and other project plans.

Essential Job Functions:

Must perform software product and process evaluations using standards and checklists to verify requirements, software deliverables, phase activities, phase milestones, and software releases are compliant with existing processes and procedures.

Perform software product and process evaluations using standards and checklists to verify accuracy of requirements, software deliverables, phase activities, milestones, and software.

Verify integrity of software build processes and content for delivered products.

Report non-compliance issues to the Software Development Team Lead (or their designee).

Required Skills:

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Engineering is required; however other disciplines, such as Electronic Engineer, with strong software experience will be considered.

Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a security clearance for duration of the assignment.

Familiar with the software development lifecycle.

Experience in Software Quality Assurance.

Detailed-oriented with strong organizational skills.

Effectively communicate (oral and written) with tact and professionalism.

Candidate must have the ability to work independently within a team environment.

Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Desired Skills:

Ability to read and understand source code.

Have assembly or lower-level language experience.

Ability to follow logic within flow charts.

Ability to track the implementation of software changes across multiple concurrent software baselines.

Experience with low level software design, and structured software development methodologies.

Configuration Management experience/OPS experience.

Experience with structured software development teams. Knowledge of DOD-STD 2167A and DO-178B.
