Description

Under general supervision of a licensed anesthesiologist or certified registered nurse anesthetist (CRNA).Responsible for providing supervision to the anesthesia technicians / technologist in assisting the anesthesiologist / anesthetist in the acquisition, preparation and application of the equipment and supplies required for the administration of anesthesia in main surgery department as well as satellite areas including, endoscopy, MCVI procedure rooms , pediatric procedure room, intensive care unit, obstetrics, emergency room, and imaging services. Adheres to Universal Precautions in all clinical areas. Provides support to routine surgical cases by assisting in the preparations and maintenance of patient equipment and anesthesia delivery systems, before, during and after anesthesia.

Qualifications

Degrees: Bachelors Licenses & Certifications: Basic Life Support Neonatal Resuscitation Program Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Registered Nurse Pediatric Advanced Life Support Additional Qualifications: Bachelors of Science in Nursing , BSN. RNs hired prior to 2/2012 are not required to have a BSN to continue in their non-leadership role as an RN. RNs hired after 2/2012 with an Associates Degree have 3 years to complete the BSN. BLS for healthcare providers ACLS, PALS, or NRP as required by unit assignment within 6 months of promotion or hire. Certification in area of specialty within 2 years of signing, promotion or hire. Minimum Required Experience: 3
