This award winning facility is seeking an Assistant Nursing Director of Oncology RN to oversee the inpatient Medical Surgical Oncology unit as well as the Ambulatory Infusion Center in the Greater New York Area.
The Assistant RN Director of Oncology will join a 500+ bed facility, and is affiliated with a recognized New York healthcare system. This highly accredited hospital offers an array of clinics and specialties throughout the Greater New York area, including a level 1 trauma center and several inpatient and outpatient facilities and programs.
With a dedicated Cancer Care program, the oncology team uses state-of-the-art technology combined with the latest evidence-based research to deliver and develop individualized patient care plans. The Oncology unit is comprised of inpatient Medical Surgical Oncology patients and an Ambulatory Infusion Center that primarily specializes in Oncology patients.
Reporting to the Director of Oncology, the RN Oncology Assistant Director will oversee Oncology Nurse Educators, Oncology Charge Nurses and Supervisors, and the Oncology Department staff. Responsibilities of the Assistant RN Oncology Director will include cross collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to develop specialized patient care, treatment, and discharge plans, operational work-flow, department staffing, education, and evaluations, as well as enforcing best practices, accreditation initiatives, policy and procedures.
