Job Description

Essential Duties

  • Strengthen the TEXTAR brand reputation for WORLDPAC customers, while promoting the TEXTAR brand. Included job tasks are:
    • Technical selling, and trouble-shooting
    • Educating our customers on a “best practice” philosophy when changing brake components
    • Improve efficiency and reducing potential customer complaints at garage level
    • Conduct Brake Clinics at customer shops to push the WP Brake Assortment
  • Promote the Textar brand by providing best service and technical support
  • Promote the WORLDPAC Brake Assortment to increase brake sales & cut down on warranties.
  • Problem-solving & educating customers on best working practice for installing brake components.
  • Work in conjunction with WORLDPAC to convert garage owners/installers to buy TEXTAR products.
  • Assist in all sales promotions associated with the TEXTAR brand & other brake promotions.
  • Advising on features and benefits of dealing with TEXTAR, raising general awareness incorporating Safety, Quality and Performance both to our internal & external customers
  • Make field sales calls, alone or with a WORLDPAC associate to gain market share & help promote TEXTAR products
  • Conduct training classes in the evenings, or on weekends with repair shop owners & technicians. Coordinate all training activities with our WTI department
  • Train/coach WORLDPAC representatives to improve their knowledge of TEXTAR products.
  • Monitor market developments, market trends, competition activities and provide feedback to WORLDPAC /TEXTAR.
  • Participation on in-house-trade-shows and open houses
  • Assist in customer complaints when technical knowledge is required
  • Support development of Technical Service Information

Required Skills     

  • Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification 
  • Knowledge and experience in automotive parts
  • Sound knowledge of braking system (training provided)
  • Good standard of education
  • Must possess the technical, mechanical, and analytical skills to troubleshoot and solve brake problems
  • Automotive repair technician
  • Proficiency in the use of technology tools used to manage and develop new and existing customers
  • Including but not limited to computer hardware and software and on-line resources (internet and intranet and telephone systems)
  • Adapt positively to a changing environment
  • Able to work independently and with minimal supervision
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills  
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint a plus), with strong and accurate data entry skills
  •  Willingness to work cooperatively across all departments to provide WORLDPAC customers with the best possible experience
  • Bilingual is a plus
