Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia The Financial Monitoring Group (FMG) seeks a motivated analyst to support the monitoring of consumer credit risk at the nation’s largest banks. The successful candidate will have knowledge or interest in consumer credit risk, intellectual curiosity in analyzing rich sources of data, and the ability to tell the story behind the data in written and presentation format. In addition to good communication and time management skills, the candidate should have the ability to manipulate and perform analysis of large datasets. Experience with consumer credit products (such as mortgage, credit cards and auto loans) and data visualization tools, such as Tableau, is a plus.

FMG supports the supervision of large banks by using detailed confidential supervisory data to identify emerging trends in consumer credit .  As an example, FMG developed monthly analytics and reporting to track the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on consumer lending. Recently, the group published a report on large bank credit card and mortgage data, that will be shared with the public on a quarterly basis (access link [ Link removed ] - Click here to apply to Senior Quantitative Analyst/Quantitative Analyst III).    FMG also provides analytical and examination support to various Federal Reserve System initiatives, such as the annual Comprehensive Capital Analysis and Review and the Horizontal Capital Review, as well as supervisory management groups, such as the Large Institution Supervision Coordinating Committee and the Large and Foreign Banking Organization.
