Job Description and Duties
Food Service Technician I is responsible for serving and assisting with the preparation of foods and beverages; clean and maintain food service equipment, utensils and work areas. Duties are related to both kitchen (food preparation) and dining room (food presentation) environments. Maintains a safe, sanitary and therapeutic environment to protect the clients. Requires standing, walking, bending and/or stooping for extended periods of time. Exposure to loud noises. Frequently move/rearrange food items and/or equipment weighting up to fifty (50) pounds. May work weekends and holidays.
On August 5, 2021, State of California, Health and Human Services Agency State Public Health Officer Order (Order) mandated that all workers who provide services or work in Health Care facilities listed in the Order have their first dose of a one-dose COVID-19 vaccine regimen or their second dose of a two-dose regimen by September 30, 2021. Recreation/cultural attractions include golf, tennis, desert preserves, parks, rock climbing, hiking, biking, museums, art galleries, and theater. Next door is well-known city of Palm Springs. Although known as a winter resort area, increasing numbers are making the Coachella Valley their year-round home.
