Senior Back-End Engineer - Remote / Telecommute

TTEC, formerly Teletech, is seeking a Sr. Back-end Engineer to join our Product Engineering.   This is a nationwide, telecommuting opportunity.

What you’ll be doing: 

As part of our Product Engineering team, you will be a valuable contributor within our icApps group as a Sr. Back-end Engineer.   You will work directly with the team to identity the design needs of the new or modified application features. The Sr. Back-end Engineer will have a seat at the table in all meetings such as project planning, estimation, standups, and stakeholder show & tell.

  • Participate in active discussions regarding new features for future projects.

  • Contribute to the Architecture/Design framework.

  • Help troubleshoot and verify bugs.

    What skills you’ll need:

  • 10+ year’s software development experience of web-based applications.

  • Good understanding of software development lifecycle (Agile experience a plus).

  • Cloud agnostic multi-tenant experience

  • Experience with Java web applications and/or Hibernate, Spring, Spring MVC and/or Struts, JSP, Servlets, Web Services, XML, JUnit, Ant.

  • Experience with Tomcat, JBoss, Weblogic or equivalent.

  • Proficient with SQL and relational database concepts.

  • Experience with UNIX or Linux environments.

  • Good understanding of the latest web technologies such as JS, XML, HTTPS, AJAX, MVC, Web Servers, Application Servers, etc.

  • Highly motivated self-starter with strong attention to detail and proven ability to prioritize and scope work.

  • Excellent logic, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people.

  • Flexibility to handle demands of a rapidly growing and changing workplace.

  • BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
