Accountemps is looking for a PAYROLL TAX ADMINISTRATOR on a temp-to-hire basis for our client in Oakbrook Terrace, IL. The Payroll Tax Administrator is responsible for overseeing the work flow of the Payroll Tax Administrator for all US payroll tax activities. This includes reconciliation and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and filings. Main responsibilities of the Payroll Tax Administrator include: U.S. 1. Coordinate the annual W2 process 2. Process adjustments to W2s and/or W2Cs where required 3. Balances and remits US Fed/State/Local taxes 4. Verify Live/Work States 5. Calculate and input RSU 6. Track and reconcile On-Demand payments and reversals 7. Investigate penalties and interest and communicate with agencies 8. Prepares calculations and reports for tax liabilities (ADP vs WD) 9. Responds to questions and special requests from employees and regulatory agencies 10. Researches laws and regulations regarding taxes and payroll withholding procedures 11. Assist in monitoring the Positive Pay function (CA) 12. Back up for bi-weekly payroll settlement Canada 1. Assist with all payroll tax activities, including compliance with local, provincial, and federal regulations and filing local, provincial, and federal payroll tax returns. 2. Assists with calculations and reports for tax liabilities (ADP vs WD) 3. Assists with reconciling the quarter and year-end taxes Payroll & Benefits 1. Payroll Auditing 2. Requirements for the Payroll Tax Administrator include: 1. Advanced knowledge of payroll tax laws and requirement in the US, and working knowledge of payroll tax laws and requirements in Canada. 2. Advanced Excel skills, including arithmetic formulas and pivot tables 3. Ability to read, comprehend and follow verbal instructions and ability to perform basic arithmetic and payroll calculations 4. Ability to meet deadlines and to concentrate and pay attention to detail for 75 percent of work time 5. Standing and walking required for less than 10 percent of work time 6.
