Summary: Looking for a strong Product Manager to join our RAVEN (Reporting Analytics and Visualizations for the Enterprise) program. This program owns the business intelligence product portfolio and provides internal consulting services to various business units within Client.
Job Responsibilities:
- As a product manager in RAVEN team, he/she will partner closely with one or more line of businesses and own the overall success of BI product for that business.
- Gain deep understanding of the business context and users needs, meanwhile act as a SME of the BI product suite.
- Build strong partnership with the line of businesses, define BU-level product vision, outcomes, and success metrics.
- Manages the product backlog while prioritizing work and making product-related decisions based on the needs and expectations of users and stakeholders.
- Identifies and manages work independently while working closely with both internal and external partners to ensure success product launch and user adoption, with documentation and training materials for users in support of product launches.
- Employ various database querying languages to perform data analysis across various data platforms to research and verify user needs, uncover additional user values, and determine new features
- Due to the highly collaborative and matrixed nature, all 4 Client values (collaboration, expertise, innovation, responsibility) will be key to the success of this role.
- As for product behaviors, this role should over index on focus on users, deliver results, dive deep, have courage.
- Strategic thinking: be able to think strategically, set long-term goals, and create a roadmap for achieving them.
- Communication skills: be able to communicate effectively with stakeholders, including executives, developers, designers, and users.
- Technical knowledge: have a basic understanding of data visualization applications (Power BI, Tableau etc), query languages and programming languages.
- Analytical skills: perform data analysis across various data platforms to research and verify user needs, uncover gaps and recommend ways for improvement.
- User empathy: be able to understand and empathize with the needs of users. This requires conducting user research, gathering feedback, and using that feedback to inform product decisions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in business, IT, or other related discipline.
- Masters degree preferred.3-5 years in Product Management, Engineering or Product Marketing.
- Business Analysis writing user stories, gathering requirements, manage backlogs..
- Technical background with some knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience working with BI tools Power BI preferred
- Basic SQL knowledge
- Data Visualization experience
- AWS experience preferred
- Ability to use sound judgment when resolving complex problems.
- Well organized, thorough, and able to handle competing priorities
- Demonstrated ability to develop effective working relationships that improved the quality of work products.
