Job Description
CSI Recruiting is working with a pre-IPO energy and infrastructure firm based in Colorado, assisting in the build-out of their manufacturing business, including adding an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to the manufacturing team, which consists of Mechanical Engineers, CAD Designers, and CNC Programmers.

This firm is one of Colorado's leading innovators and has grown rapidly while operating profitably since its inception.

The Senior Electrical Engineer is responsible for the layout, design, and integration of electrical systems into drawings of custom power and control products for manufacture. You'll work with a small team of experienced professionals within a company on the cutting edge of digital infrastructure, power distribution, and green power solutions

Requirements

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for Electrical design deliverables on various projects and solutions such as one-line diagrams, control schematics, submittal packages, bill of materials, etc.
  • Confirm the accuracy of project materials quoted to customers, including the review of vendor bid packages and submittals for technical accuracy
  • Perform branch circuits and feeder calculations on power distribution equipment, as well as specifying and sizing components
  • Evaluate existing manufacturing processes and identify areas for improvement
  • Work with the Production, Procurement, Project Management, and Sales teams on continuous improvement opportunities

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related Engineering discipline with a minimum of 7-15 years of experience in a manufacturing, construction, or project environment
  • Solid knowledge of the NEC (National Electrical Code)
  • Solid knowledge of the design, building, and maintenance of low voltage (600 volts and below) power distribution systems
  • Solid knowledge to perform load calculations on machine and control panels per NEC and UL 508A
  • Solid knowledge of Office-based software systems
  • Solid knowledge of computer-aided design (ACADE) and to design and document electrical schematics and power distribution systems
  • Experience preferred with QA/QC, Factory Acceptance Testing and documentation
  • Solid knowledge of the principles of machine engineering and the building of production and other equipment
  • Experience with programmable devices in the area of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), motion-control, human-machine interfaces and instrumentation
  • Solid skills in developing and maintaining effective work relationships with production personnel, electrical technicians, and control panel builders
  • Solid skills working with, and knowledge of the use of all electrical test equipment
  • Ability to read, understand, and interpret schematics, and mechanical diagrams
  • Ability to inspect the quality of work performed for flaws and mistakes
  • Ability to work in a self-directed manner on several projects simultaneously
