Principle Duties and ResponsibilitiesEssential
Must be able to change film, load cartons, and cases which may weight up to 50 lbs.
Must be able to perform quality assurance checks and maintain proper documentation.
Must be able to relieve Sig Wrappers-2, the Relief Operator-1, Sig Operator-1, and Open-1 positions for rotation days off.
Must possess basic mechanical skills
Must be able to replace operators for the operators' days off.
Must have the ability to complete changeovers.
Maintains a clean work environment.
Notifies Maintenance, Group Manager and/or your Team Leader of any repairs or adjustments that are required.
Understands, observes, and complies with the handling and usage of the color-coded container policy.
Performs all duties necessary to meet Government and Regulatory, SQF Institute, Co-Manufacturers and Company requirements/standards as prioritized by the Company.
Informs Line Manager, Group Manager or any other Management personnel of ANY food safety or quality issues or of any processes which become noncompliant with specified requirements.
Ability to initiate action to prevent the occurrence of nonconformities relating to food safety and the quality of the product, processes, quality system, or safety system.
Identifies and records any problems relating to food safety and the quality of the ingredients, processes, quality system, or safety system.
Controls further processing or delivery of nonconforming product in terms of food safety and quality issues until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required as Essential
Possesses a thorough understanding of all Company policies, including GMP's and safety policies.
Effectively communicates with others.
Able to lift 50 lbs. in weight above shoulder level.
Possesses the ability to read, write, and comprehend English.
Possesses the ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
