Position Purpose:

Partner with the Property Management team to ensure that all accounting functions are managed accurately and in timely manner.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the Leasing and Property Management teams to ensure that all accounting processes are followed properly; request the help of the Training team as needed.
  • Maintain and balance the General Ledger in an accurate, complete, and up-to-date manner.
  • Conduct account reconciliations monthly and on an as-needed basis.
  • Ensure accuracy of SODAs while ensuring all are prepared within the appropriate timeframes.
  • Participate in month-end close-outs and ensure that all charges and receipts are correct by the date required.
  • Review balances after tenant move-out and ensure that all amounts are transferred to the correct accounts at the appropriate time.
  • Research and analyze variances, prepare/post journal entries as required and maintain supporting documentation.
  • Serve as the liaison between the Accounting and Property Management teams to review financial statements and answer questions related to Property Management functions as needed.

Job Requirements (Including Education):

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a similar field
  • Real estate/property management experience preferred
  • Experience with Sage Intacct preferred
  • Strong computer skills (Excel | Word | Google Suite) with demonstrated high accuracy output
  • Strong problem solving, reasoning, and decision-making skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and written/oral communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks while meeting established deadlines
  • Ability to demonstrate planning and organizational skills
  • Proven team player and energetic personality.
