CohnReznick currently has an exciting career opportunity for a Senior Associate to join the Government Contract Practice located in our Tysons, VA office. 


We are looking for a Senior Associate with a background implementing, supporting and/or auditing federal contractor DFARS-compliant business systems, primarily purchasing (CPSR) or estimating. The Senior Associate will work closely with client management to provide timely, efficient advisory support in the government contracting environment.  You will have responsibility to execute a wide range of advisory services on various ongoing special projects with our government contractor clients.  Normally this person will be managing and working with up to 5-7 clients at any given time and performing time-management to prioritize the workload.

Responsibilities:

Perform advisory services to government contractors in the following areas:

  • DFARS-Compliant Business System gap/readiness assessments and implementations – Purchasing, Estimating, Materials Management, Property, and Accounting
  • Policies and procedures documentation
  • Process improvement consulting
  • DCAA/DCMA audit support
  • Research in FAR/DFARS/CAS
  • Supervision & training of staff accountants/advisors

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA license is a plus
  • 4 – 5 years of recent experience in the government contract sector
  • Specialized knowledge of and experience with DFARS-compliant business systems, particularly purchasing (CPSR), estimating, and/or property
  • Knowledge of FAR/DFARS
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
  • Strong analytical and presentation skills
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to do local travel (MD, DC, VA)
  • U.S. Citizen
