The Operations Administrator (Administrator-Ops) is based out of Kinder Morgan’s Heidelberg Tennessee Gas Pipeline (TGP) Compressor Station number 538, located at 83 County Road 37 in Heidelberg, MS 39439.   Kinder Morgan offers a robust benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, two retirement plans, paid holidays, and paid time off.    Kinder Morgan is one of the largest energy infrastructure companies in North America.To be considered for the Operations Administrator position in Heidelberg, MS click on Apply Now to sign in or create an account to upload your resume.  This is a great opportunity if you have finance and budgeting experience including accounts payable (A/P), accounts receivables (A/R), purchasing and project support. Primary Purpose:To compile, organize, analyze, maintain, update and report all project information, data and progress. Assist with accounting, budgeting, administrative and clerical duties in support of the Heidelberg Area team.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assist Area Manager and Supervisor in preparing, tracking and managing the operational and capital budgets
  • Facilitate and centralize reporting and data management and the systematization of project information
  • Assist in the tracking and trending of information and the generation of reports on an ad hoc basis
  • Generate contracts, prepare general service agreements, work directives and request for services or materials
  • Responsible for updates to and administrative actions associated with the learning management system (LMS)
  • Compile data and develop forecasts to keep project progress on target
  • Preparation of local vendor contracts and work directives
  • Check, code, and process invoices for payment
  • Assist with updating and migrating procedures into proper format
  • Plan and coordinate arrangements for on-site and off-site meetings
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail and shipments and deliveries of packages
  • Assist staff with preparation of expense accounts
  • Attend team meetings as required
  • Regular and predictable attendance
  • Other duties as required
Position Requirements

Minimum Requirements:Education
  • High school diploma
  • Associates/Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent (preferred)
Experience/Specific Knowledge:
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years hands-on experience working in an administrative capacity in a fast-paced office / professional environment
  • Familiarity with budget development and cost tracking experience
  • Familiarity with Lawson system is a plus
  • Knowledge of PC operations and other related database applications
  • Must be proficient in and have at least 3 to 5 years direct and active experience with MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point)
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and be insurable by the company insurance carrier
Competencies/Skills/Abilities:
  • Advance proficiency level with Microsoft Office applications and database software including, but not limited to, Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrate efficiency in writing and understanding verbal and written communications, including, but not limited to, e-mail
  • Must be able to interact with a wide variety of people with tact, courtesy and professionalism including, but not limited to, other employees, all levels of management, vendors and customers
  • Demonstrate ability to speak clearly, both in person and via telephone, using a high level of verbal skills and to listen carefully
  • Must demonstrate excellent writing, oral, analytical and communication skills
  • Must be able to successfully perform multiple tasks with strict and simultaneous deadlines
  • Must be able to work with a team, take direction from supervisors, adhere to required work schedules, focus attention on details and follow work rules
  • Must demonstrate ability to plan, organize and utilize project management skills
  • Must be able to work independently and function with limited supervision at times
  • Must be able to work autonomously as situation dictates
  • Must be able to speak and understand English.
Physical Demands:
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds on an occasional basis
  • Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time

  • Must maintain regular, dependable attendance and a high level of job performance
  • Must maintain a high regard for personal safety, the safety of company assets and employees and the general public
  • May be required to work non-traditional hours as needed as well as overtime hours
