Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:


Interact with the consumer market to achieve new customers, expand relationships with existing customers. Focus on meeting client investment needs within the branch market and fulfilling on life insurance needs.


DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Meet assigned sales goals for deposits, loans, and investments
  • Actively identify client needs through client relationship reviews and client interactions, offer appropriate financial solutions, and expand existing client relationships
  • Actively sell, open, and maintain all retail products and services of FMB and cross sell other FMB services to both new and existing clients
  • Provide professional quality service and react appropriately to solve customer problems to ensure that resolutions and follow-ups are completed in a timely and accurate manner
  • Outreach to the retail/consumer market to promote referrals and drive new households
  • Make referrals to appropriate specialists including commercial, business banking, FMFN, mortgage, On the Job Banking, and wealth management
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of all bank products and services including pricing and bank policies
  • Meet regularly with designated Financial Consultant to build/develop financial services and sales acumen
  • Maintain a system of orderly follow-up by mail and telephone with new and existing customers to generate additional business
  • Actively engages in outbound calling from call lists and through client onboarding practices
  • Conduct client appointments to fulfill on retail and investment needs
  • Participate in monthly Licensed Banker conference calls and attend quarterly sales meetings
  • Participate in branch activities including community events
  • Work varied hours/days including occasional overtime as business dictates. May need to travel to other branch locations
  • Adheres to First Midwest Financial Network (FMFN) and LPL compliance requirements, including completing continuing education requirements
  • Implement bank-directed policy and changes relating to regulatory amendments
  • Maintain adequate controls to ensure compliance with consumer protection regulations in a defined area of responsibility
  • Complete the required compliance training sessions
  • Prepare monthly/weekly reports
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Job Requirements

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

  • College degree or commensurate experience in retail banking and/or sales required
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as Personal Banker recommended
  • Life Insurance License required
  • Working knowledge of financial services/investments
  • Demonstrated ability to refer/fulfill on client investment needs
  • Proven history of meeting or exceeding sales goals
  • Track record of working effectively in a team environment and building solid relationships
  • Excellent communication/interpersonal/organizational skills necessary
  • Prior experience in routinely making decisions required
  • Proven lending experience required
  • Subject to SAFE Act Registration Requirements
