Solves difficult and technically challenging problems related to BI solutions. Highly knowledgeable and expert within the department for one or more enterprise systems. Possesses a solid understanding of Charter’s data architecture. Provides skilled guidance and coordinates BI and crossfunctional efforts in area(s) of expertise. Works independently with minimal instruction to find solutions consistent with defined standards and approach. Identifies best practices and works collaboratively on process improvement to assure the ongoing quality of BI data products.

Analyzes difficult problems that require a deep understanding of business and technical context to resolve significant issues impacting data accuracy and delivery

Leads intradepartmental and cross-functional initiatives to support BI solutions

Informs enterprise and BI development strategy as a technical subject matter expert

Creates a shared mission of governance with BI’s service partners (Billing, Data Standards, HR, IT Shared Services and others), powered by a clear understanding of agreed-upon guiding principles and a mutual recognition of the consequences of noncompliance

Represents BI in enterprise change management processes and assures effective data governance and reference data management

Assures communication of operational system changes and impact assessment by BI teams to identify enhancement opportunities and assess and mitigate impacts

Communicates and escalates effectively with management and supplies effectual guidance in key competency areas

Fosters best practices and creates a culture of consistency, accountability and continuous improvement

Skills/Abilities and Knowledge
Expert knowledge of one or more enterprise systems
Superior analytic and problem-solving skills and strong organizational ability
Understanding of billing operations, billing-related business processes, and billing code design
Knowledge of data integration methodologies, SQL databases, and BI reporting tools
Strong understanding of RDM tools, concepts, best practices and related change control processes
Ability to quickly adapt to fluid business environment and quickly master new concepts and technologies
Familiarity with BI’s major upstream data sources and data integration architecture
Experience facilitating intradepartmental and cross-functional collaboration
Ability to prepare clear and concise documentation for technical and business audiences
Ability to communicate in a clear and straightforward manner (written and verbal)

Bachelor’s degree (Computer Science or related fields)or foreign equivalent, or equivalent work experience
