The System Administrator – File + Print Services manages CITO’s enterprise systems (file, print, database, and web application servers). These services are utilized by CITO supported faculty and staff throughout business, research and teaching units on a 24×7 basis. Serves as a key member of CITO’s enterprise Disaster Response and IT Incident Response teams as part of a master business continuity and disaster recovery plan. The membership roles are extremely sensitive and require professional status.
Additionally, serves as a Tier-2 liaison between many of the UITS central service units and CITO’s desktop support environment. This requires a highly technical professional with excellent project management skills, thorough technical knowledge of network topography and protocol usage, Windows Server architecture and enterprise management, File system architectures, maintenance and security; Web services architectures, maintenance and security; Database architectures, maintenance and security; Strong understanding of University central leveraged file and print resources (IU network and cloud storage solutions, UITS IU Print).
Works as a member of the Technical Services Team under the direction of the Manager of the Technical Services team; and provides primary file/print/web/database services. Works within the architectures and oversight of the CITO Enterprise Architecture and Support Systems (EASS/ISS) and the CITO Security & Policy (SECPOL) teams to ensure IU and CITO policy propagation, security systems administration and implementation. This work is performed on critical automated processes, computer systems, networks, databases, information systems, telecommunication systems, procedures and practices.
Maintains a strong understanding of UITS Leveraged Resources and manages the unit level implementation of leveraged university central network file and print services. Serves as the primary interface between customers and unit managed leveraged university central network file and print services.
REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field and three years of experience that includes: advanced systems analysis, systems programming, systems administration, advanced systems architecture, and systems migration.
Combinations of relevant education, certifications, and experience may be considered.
MCSA (Microsoft Certified Systems Analyst), MCSE (Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert) and Network+ certification.
Experience with PERL, Python and C++. Experience in technical staff management or team leadership and additional years of experience.

Equipment utilized: equipment with which the incumbent must be familiar or will be required to operate or use.
Various server architecture components such as Virtual Environments (vSphere, Hyper-V and others), single server chassis, blade and SAN technologies along with disaster recovery equipment.
