Supply Chain Program Manager

Moog Inc. Arvada, CO (Onsite) Full-Time
The Supply Chain Program Manager typically has responsibility for several (1-3) programs of major impact to the division. These may be new and/or ongoing programs. As a general rule, the total value of these supply chain programs will typically be valued at between $5-30 million, however, because of technical complexity or customer approach, the dollar value may not fully represent the difficulty of the work involved.

The Supply Chain Program Manager does not have direct reports but will coordinate the activities of a supply chain staff totaling approximately 5-20 people.

Nature and Scope of Position:

* The Supply Chain Program Manager is responsible for managing supply chain aspects of a program from contract award through end-item delivery. This includes support to sales and proposal efforts through fact-finding and negotiations.

* The Supply Chain Program Manager is responsible for meeting all program supply chain contractual requirements.

* The Supply Chain Program Manager is responsible for accomplishing the program supply chain objectives by managing the activities of a multi-disciplined team. This includes interfacing with the appropriate functional managers and supervisors to ensure the assignment of adequate resources.

* The Supply Chain Program Manager is required to have the skills necessary to successfully plan, schedule supply chain materials to meetprogram budget and cost targets.

* The Supply Chain Program Manager must be proactive in identifying supply chain issues and problems, which impact program performance, and in taking appropriate actions to resolve these issues and recover cost and schedule, in a timely manner. Program risks, including cost, technical and schedule risks, must be identified as early as possible and mitigation plans developed to minimize potential program impacts. To the extent that these actions or plans may incur additional cost or affect contractual obligations, the Supply Chain Program Manager is to coordinate with the Director of Programs.

* The Supply Chain Program Manager recognizes that customer satisfaction is the highest priority.

* The Supply Chain Program Manager must maintain the highest level of personal integrity and insist on similar behavior from the program team.

To successfully perform the program management function, The Supply Chain Program Manager must have and exercise the following skills and knowledge:

* Listening and people handling/influencing skills

* Negotiating skills to facilitate agreement on technical and contractual matters

* Verbal and written communication skills for the preparation and presentation of materials to internal groups and to the customer

* Ability to lead cross functional and cross site teams; developing milestones and team goals

* Product knowledge, Program Management, and Supply Chain process knowledge

* Utilization of the scheduling, status reporting and cost reporting systems

* Understanding of contractual terms, conditions and requirements

Basic Qualifications:

* The required education and background for a person in this position would preferably be a Bachelors degree in Engineering, or technical area, and a minimum of seven years of related work experience.

* This position requires access to US Export Controlled Information

Accountabilities:

* Works with the supply chain team on development of sources of supply for specific program while leveraging cross Moog commodity teams.

* Coordination with Program Management and team on supply chain design and strategy for the program (s) through proposal, development, LRIP and production phases.

* Work encompasses development of sources of supply, working with supply chain team on solicitation and analysis of proposals, fact-finding and negotiation of requirements, price, terms and conditions.

* Supports negotiations regarding technical requirements, price, delivery, terms and conditions with selected supplier(s).

* Responsible for developing program specific mission success plans and reporting metrics.

* Insures proper planning for materials requirements for all phases of production.
