Global Event Marketing Manager

Summary:

The RL B2B Commercial Sales team is recruiting for an enthusiastic and experienced Global Event Marketing Manager to design and execute a variety of live and virtual customer events in support of the B2B Commercial Sales goals. Global events include but are not limited to an annual Meta “owned” event, regional customer events and third-party events and tradeshows in partnership with technology resellers, distributors and industry thought leaders. The role requires significant ‘customer first’ orientation, strong project management, keen attention to detail and ability to effectively manage multiple priorities. This person must have a business-building and growth mindset, with the ability to think outside of the box and deliver innovative customer recruitment events. This person will work “hands on” with event technology, so the manager should bring experience leading team process improvement leveraging technology resources. They need to have experience with complex budget management, strong communication skills and strong project management skills. In addition, the role requires high personal levels of judgment, drive and influence. This role will report to the Head of B2B Channel Marketing.

Required Skills:

Global Event Marketing Manager Responsibilities:

  1. Develop overarching global events strategy to deliver against B2B Commercial Sales goals.

  2. Design, direct and manage the development, administration, and execution of 7-10 corporate meetings and events to support overall goals and objectives.

  3. Oversee and manage budgets for all event programs through strategic forecasting and monitoring of all expenditures to fully leverage event potential.

  4. Demonstrate strong understanding of the event management industry, including working with hotels, F&B vendors, AV vendors, transportation providers, and international destinations/suppliers.

  5. Evaluate financial program performance and present ROI analysis to management.

  6. Demonstrate ability to update, maintain and analyze measurement tools.

  7. Perform ongoing research on our strengths and opportunity areas, as well as those of our competitors.

  8. Leverage functional expertise, supplier/partner knowledge and industry information to drive thought leadership in partnership marketing and assist business leaders with tackling pressing issues.

  9. Manage 2-6 regional contractors to support regional events including marketing, logistics, metrics and reporting.

  10. Willingness to travel ~50% of the time.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Minimum of 7+ years experience developing annual events strategy, designing and managing corporate events.

  2. Working knowledge of event planning technology and track record of leveraging technology for maximum efficiency.

  3. Proven track record of delivering effective and efficient events resulting in business growth and customer acquisition.

  4. Experience with thriving in a fast-paced environments managing a multifaceted project schedule.

  5. Proven creative and conceptual thinking experience to set a vision, develop robust action plans, problem solve.

  6. Effective communication skills and a demonstrated capability of simplifying the complex.

  7. Experience with navigating and communicating effectively cross-functionally, internally and externally across all levels.

  8. Project, vendor and budget management skills.

  9. B.A. or B.S. degree.

Public Compensation:

$150,000/year to $207,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
