Senior Manager of Retail Training and Development for SKIMS
SKIMS is a solutions-oriented brand creating the next-generation of underwear, loungewear, and shapewear.
We set new standards with our game-changing product and are a driving force within pop-culture. We are looking for a Senior Manager of Retail Training and Development to join us in advancing the industry forward.
The Senior Manager of Retail Training and Development will plan, facilitate, and manage field training and development programs for SKIMS retail. Through follow-up and coaching, they will ensure store leadership skills are developed through core competencies and that store employees are trained in the necessary skills to successfully perform their roles, delivering exceptional product training, exceptional client experiences and achieving sales KPIs.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead the creation and delivery of comprehensive, dynamic training programs for all retail initiatives, including Sales, Operations, and HR.
Ensure effective implementation of new hire training, product training and an introduction to onboarding programs.
Select appropriate training methods for the audience and purpose, such as online modules, role-playing, and in-store workshops.
Promote and market training initiatives to store teams in an engaging manner, providing all essential information.
Conduct regular store needs assessments, identifying skill, behavior, or knowledge gaps that require attention.
Analyze and implement new training methods and techniques as needed.
Develop training content based on needs assessments and market trends.
Deliver training programs directly or in collaboration with internal and external partners.
Monitor and evaluate training effectiveness using KPIs and provide detailed reports to management, assessing the impact of training on employee performance.
Maintain and organize updated employee training information using the LMS system.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders and liaise with subject matter experts for training planning and instruction.
Organize and conduct train-the-trainer sessions for in-store trainers and experts.
Provide coaching and training support to both employees and managers on SKIMS' selling approach, processes, and methodologies.
Lead special projects related to sales enablement and strategic retail initiatives.
Evaluate training content based on participant feedback, sales data, and input from sales leadership, adjusting as needed.
Coordinate all aspects of training courses, workshops, including schedules, logistics, and materials.
Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
Prior experience in retail training and development is a must.
3-5 years of multi-unit management experience in retail.
Experience in retail training or a comparable field.
Ability to conduct needs assessments and skill gap analysis.
Mastery of adult learning principles, teaching, and instruction for both individuals and groups, as well as measurement of training effects.
Ability to train to employees with accommodations.
Ability to facilitate learning programs effectively.
Strong project and program management skills.
Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and work efficiently with internal teams.
Creative problem-solver with the ability to think outside the box to drive team success.
Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and apply knowledge practically.
Experience with LMS systems.
Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
Willingness to work overtime with short notice.
Must be 18 years or older.
Must be able to travel up to 70% of the time.
$115,000 - $125,000 a year
