Arconic Engines (AEN) Wichita Falls, TX  is seeking Controller who will be Accountable for supporting the Location and Business Unit in the development of financial plans, forecasts and the analysis of operational results.  Provide leadership and direction to the financial department staff and location Management.  Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the Wichita Falls Business and related issues, maintain ongoing communications with AEN finance
Specific Responsibilities include:
  • Act as an authority on GAAP/SOX related accounting matters for the site, including areas such as revenue recognition and cost accounting.
  • Forecasts, profit and COGS analysis, cost management, inventory analysis, capital investment, working capital, free cash flow, and all financial reporting requirements for the location.  Including: accelerate financial closing = 1 day, profitability analysis, extensive operational financial reporting; discrete costing environment.
  • Manage team by establishing monthly and quarterly performance goals, allocating resources, assessing annual performance and determining individual merit, incentive and or/promotional increases in support of company goals.
  • Ensure full compliance with all Sarbanes-Oxley requirements
  • Establish financial budgets to the department level for the location
  • Function as an integral part of the facility leadership team, prepare and present narratives, graphs and other reports as required to support business reviews, management and customer presentations
  • Business Partnering with the Plant Manager and Lead Team make solid financial decisions and help them to understand the financial impact of their decisions
  • Assists in the development and implementation of goals, policies, priorities and procedures relating to financial management and budget accounting.
  • Facilitate the introduction, analysis and execution of cost savings opportunities with fellow staff managers across the facility
  • Provide analysis and support as required to meet AEN requirements for Capital investment
  • Work in a safe manner that promotes the health and well-being of the individual and the environment
  • Comply with all EHS rules, regulations and supervisory instructions
  • Interpret operating results to Lead Team as the effect of the financial aspects of the organization and make specific recommendations which will result in cost reduction and profit improvement
  • Initiate special studies involving the organization finance and accounting practices
  • Leadership Accounts Receivable, ensuring over due invoices are resolved, completing analysis as needed
  • Provide training to other employees on the job processes, procedures and functions.
  • Supervises and participates in the preparation of various financial statements and reports
  • Directs and participates in the cost analysis and rate studies
  • Directs internal audits involving review of accounting and administrative controls
  • Work and review work performed by Financial Shared Services (FSS)
  • Perform account reconciliation for both accounts the location is responsible for as well as those managed by FSS
  • When needed, interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees; address complaints and resolving problems

Basic Qualifications:
  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum eight (8) years of experience in Accounting and Finance
  • Minimum of three (3) years in a manufacturing environment and specifically with cost accounting experience
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. 
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with OHCMS
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, emphasis placed on proficiency in MS Excel
