We are currently looking to fill the position of Inventory Cycle Counter. Under the general direction of the Operations Manager, this position provides inventory control and support to the account programs.
Essential Job Responsibilities
* Maintain inventory accuracy by verifying product and quantities in warehouse locations.
* Responsible for all assigned tasks relating to inventory control, including maintaining inventory counts and communicating inventory discrepancies to Operations Management
* Responsible for all assigned tasks relating to inventory control, including maintaining inventory counts and communicating inventory discrepancies to Operations Management
* Must comply with all EH&S regulations for the protection of the environment and maintain safe working conditions.
* Policies, procedures, and work instructions must be adhered to for quality assurance and customer satisfaction.
* Prepare and analyze reports regarding inventory balances, overages and shortages.
* Counts and reconciles randomly chosen or chosen item numbers and/or locations daily.
* Assists in developing solutions to shortages, overages and inventory discrepancies.
* Ensures compliance to inventory processes and procedures, and contractual obligations
* Manage the inventory workflow by conducting cycle counts.
* Perform all other duties as assigned.
* Research misplaced or unaccounted for product.
* May assist with training other employees as directed by Lead or Supervisor
Experience/ Skills Requirements
* Minimum of two years related experience or equivalent
* Strong inventory control skills in warehouse environment preferred
* Knowledge of warehouse operations best practices
* Demonstrated proficiency in supervising and motivating subordinates
* Commitment to excellence and high standards
* Excellent written and oral communication skills
* Knowledge of warehouse policies and procedures including best practices, OSHA regulations, safety, etc.
* Must be able to read, write, speak effectively when communicating with customers and/or management.
* Ability and willingness to work alternative shifts as required.
* Computer skills including Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
* Knowledge of WMS and understand workflow processes and procedures.
* Ability to handle the pressure of deadlines, coupled with frequent interruptions
* Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
* Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams
* Forklift certified or able to become forklift certified
* Must comply with all safety requirements
* Ability to perform the physical labor necessary
Physical Demands
* While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel. The employee frequently is required to sit, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee is required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee may be exposed to heights up to 30 feet. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles and can be exposed to extreme heat and extreme cold including climates consistent with outside weather conditions.
Education Requirements
* High school diploma/GED required. Bachelor's degree highly preferred.
