Associate Creative Director - Copywriter
Are you an experienced copywriter who thrives in a dynamic environment? Are you intrigued by the unique challenges involved in building a brand in the personal care retail category? As an ACD Copywriter at Archer—working on one of the agency’s primary accounts in our Memphis location—you will play a pivotal role in shaping the creative direction of our projects and leading a team of talented creatives. You will collaborate closely with our clients to understand their objectives and develop innovative strategies to bring their visions to life. From concept development to final execution, you will oversee every aspect of the creative process, ensuring that our work consistently exceeds expectations. Those opportunities include video campaigns, point-of-sale, email, social media, website, app and more.
Forever independent, Archer is an employee-owned, mid-size agency that offers an active involvement in your career development, as well as the option for dedicated time to participate in our DE&I efforts and ERGs (employee resource groups).
An ideal candidate would be based in Memphis, TN, in order to collaborate in person with our tightly knit team, but a strong leader who can manage a team remotely could also be considered. Unfortunately, we’re unable to consider candidates based outside of the U.S. at this time.
YOUR CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Show big idea leadership—both strategic and conceptual thinking
- Consistently demonstrate high levels of craft in your work
- Present to all levels of internal stakeholders and client contacts, and sell great work independently
- Proactively collaborate and coordinate within a multidisciplinary team
- Concept, craft and deliver consistently impactful communications and campaigns
- Be responsive and able to prioritize requests and due dates
- Understand and execute using best practices for all channels
- Stay current on creative, industry, category and media trends
- Work closely with the group creative director to evaluate, revise and optimize the work
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS YOU POSSESS:
- 5+ years of agency or marketing experience
- A great portfolio that includes a variety of media, including video work, print, collateral, outdoor, websites, and social/digital channels
- Strong understanding of developing channel-specific creative to cut through the clutter while keeping overall brand goals in mind
- Ability to think strategically and creatively by following a creative brief
- Experience presenting work to a team of colleagues and clients
- Passion for collaborating with a partner or ideating in group settings
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful advertising campaigns across various media channels
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate team members
- Exceptional conceptual and problem-solving abilities
- A keen eye for detail and a passion for innovation
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS YOU POSSESS:
- Experience with video production
- Experience or affinity in the personal care, retail or franchise category
