We have an exciting new job opportunity to oversee packaging equipment projects and we are looking to hire an:

Purpose of the Role

The engineer is a technical staff member within Packaging Technical Operations, which provides packaging support to all products globally. The focus of projects will involve thermal protection and distribution support projects for our products both at our internal and external sites globally. This role will also support the packaging and selection of bulk containers for active ingredients and drug product globally. The engineer will demonstrate knowledge, skills and abilities to optimize business, technical, and compliance processes. The person in this position participates in cross-functional and cross-divisional teams and initiatives and provides leadership to achieve project goals. Effective collaboration with teams is essential to meet the company's goals/objectives.

The Packaging Technology group is a Global above site team with members located all over the world. The group consists of Packaging Center of Excellence and External Packaging support. The Center of Excellence will include packaging equipment, packaging components, distribution and systems support. Our organization is on the cutting edge of equipment and technologies available for the advancement of packaging technology and improving the consumer experience.

This will include approximately 10%-15% travel on average with occasional peaks to support your projects. The job can be performed from home with a home base throughout the US.

Primary Responsibilities:

Technical Scope:

* Has a good knowledge of packaging scientific and technical concepts to apply those to solve scientific/technical packaging issues.

Science with a Strategic Business Focus:

* Ability to understand the bigger picture and business goals in order to ensure project success.

* Operates effectively as a team member on multiple projects.

* Makes informed cost/benefit decisions based on analysis of inputs, outcomes, and risk.

* Demonstrates the necessary collaboration skills to work in a team environment.

* Utilizes packaging expertise to develop solutions to customer needs.

Education Minimum Requirements:

* Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or similar; Mechanical Engineering, Packaging Science, Packaging Engineering, or similar.

Required Experience and Skills:

* At least 5 years' experience with packaging engineering.

* Interpersonal and leadership skills. Proven project team collaboration and problem-solving skills.

* Significant experience with packaging development, package testing, packaging materials, packaging equipment and packaging processes.

* Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices and Pharmaceutical industry regulations.

* Strong oral and written communication skills.

* Experience in working on diverse teams
