Our Eden Prairie, Minnesota based client is currently seeking a contract resource to assist with the development and implementation of updated safety and environmental protocol on their EHS team. This client will look at either a Senior Environmental Health & Safety Specialist or a Manager level resource to assist the department. The ideal candidate will be a Minnesota based resource who is comfortable coming into the office a few days per week and work remotely from home the rest. However, given the specific nature of the role, candidates from anywhere in the United States are also being considered if they possess demonstrated EHS experience. In this role, you will function as the corporate liaison to Safety Specialists working at various manufacturing plants. The position will be responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of site level safety, environmental and hazmat programs throughout the organization. If you possess 3+ years of prior environmental, health and safety experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment, this could be an excellent opportunity for you.


• Assist in the implementation of all EHS programs, functioning as the corporate liaison to a variety of field Safety Specialists

• Develop and conduct audits and risk assessments of all EHS programs to ensure manufacturing sites are in compliance with all regulatory guidelines

• Ensure all corporate standards are adhered to properly

• Assist internal personnel with any government inspections or audits as needed.

• Collaborate with corporate and site level EHS partners to provide any documentation requests as requested.

• Develop any necessary training programs to ensure compliance and skill development for all internal employees, as well as external vendors.

• Facilitate training to all site level employees as requested.

• Validate compliance with transport laws related to movement of hazardous materials.

• Function as an internal point of contact for any EHS related matters.

3+ years of prior experience work in an environmental, health and safety (EHS) role

Prior Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) experience preferred

Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Studies, Safety, Chemistry, Biology or a related technical field highly desired.

Previous experience working in the manufacturing industry

Ability to commit for a minimum of 3-6 months as a contractor, or an interest in a long term permanent position

Demonstrated technical proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suites, including Word and Excel

Strong written and verbal communication skills
