Located in the northern part of Sacramento, Heritage Oaks is a fully accredited 125-bed acute psychiatric facility offering a full range of individually tailored treatment services to adolescents, adults and senior adults.
We are seeking talented individuals to join our energetic, compassionate team of behavioral health professionals in providing clinical excellence to our patients as they strive to meet their treatment goals and work towards an improved quality of life. We are currently considering candidates for the Nurse Manager position. The Nurse Manger is responsible for ensuring coordinated delivery of patient care in accordance with the established standards of care, mental health practice and hospital policy, goals and objectives. This position assists in contributing to the hospital’s philosophy, objectives, educational and Quality Improvement efforts, while providing supervision to the nursing staff assigned to his/her unit.::Job Requirements
Education: Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing required. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience in psychiatric nursing management is acceptable.
Experience: A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a psychiatric health-care facility preferred.
Licensure: Currently licensed to practice by the California State Board of Nursing.
Additional Requirements: Thorough knowledge of JCAHO, HCFA, OSHA requirements, and state regulatory requirements. Must pass a medication administration exam before administering medications. Also required is current CPR certification, successful completion of Handle With Care (HWC) and Verbal De-escalation training, as well as training in the appropriate use of seclusion and restraint prior to assisting in these procedures.
