Job Description

We are seeking motivated, career and customer oriented Sr .Net Developers in the Washington, DC metro area intested in exploring an exciting and challenging career with Unisys Federal Systems.

In this role you will gain valuable career-enhancing experience as we support the design, development, testing, implementation, training, and maintenance of our federal government’s critical systems. 

Duties/Tasks and Responsibilities:

A Senior Developer must be able to create logical and functional software code in a variety of languages. Must have experience in understanding and articulating the benefits and risks associated with different coding languages in different functional environments. Must have experience reacting to problems and correcting the program as necessary.

Lead Agile based team in DevSecOps based environment

SCRUM lead in Agile based environment supporting DevSecOps (Optional)

Design, implement, and unit test application / system components

Participate in product requirement and design reviews with product managers and other engineers.

Develop time-estimates for work assignments.

Develop light technical documentation, and support the QA, release, and production support processes.

Work closely with the support teams to expeditiously resolve issues. .   

Requirements

Position Requirements:

U.S. CITIZENSHIP or Green Card Holder REQUIRED

Must be able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.

Full development lifecycle experience.

Proven ability to innovate and work jointly with other team members. 

Willingness to learn and take on a multitude of new tasks.

Be a self-starter, self-motivated and self-directed.

Flexibility to work in a constantly changing environment.

Able to set and meet deliverable deadlines and estimates.

Bachelor’s Degree and 10 years of relevant work experience.

Successful track record in the design, development, documenting and testing of web-based applications on large-scale software systems

6yrs+ of .NET development experience and knowledge:

-Working knowledge with HTML, CSS, Javascript, AJAX and frameworks (dojo, jquery, YUI)

-Strong OO design patterns and concepts

6yrs+ experience developing web applications using C# and ASP.NET MVC

6yrs+ experience developing web applications using IIS, ASP, XML/XSLT, and SQL Server.

Knowledge/Languages: IIS, ASP.NET MVC, C#, .NET Framework, XML/XSLT, HTML, SQL Server.

Experience developing SQL and/or PL/SQL queries, packages, and procedures.

Working knowledge with RDBMS (Oracle), SQL

Experience with EDI/XML mapping transformation tools is a plus.

Service Oriented Architecture design and development experience a plus

Agile development experience a plus 

Demonstrated expertise in software engineering practices (e.g., reading/generating software specs, design patterns, continuous integration)

Java development experience and knowledge of Java enterprise technologies a plus:

Servlets/JSPs, EJB 2.0, EJB 3.0, JDBC, JMS, JNI

Knowledge of MVC frameworks (Struts, SPRING)

Experience with Webservices, JAX-WS, JAX-RS,  XML, WSDL, JAXB

Working knowledge with JPA frameworks (Hibernate)

Supported DevSecOps in Open Source using (Jenkins, Maven, GitLab, etc.)
