We are planning to strengthen our business in the US and are therefore looking for a Service Manager, based in the Chicago area. In this highly entrepreneurial role you are leading the development and expansion of the US market. After an induction and training phase in Germany you will start together with a Business Development Manager and in close cooperation with the German sales team to build up the foundation for a successful Sales & Service team in the US.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Creating a strategic concept for our service offering.
- Development of service partner/network.
- Coordination of service calls and service partner dispatch.
- Develop of new prospects and interacts with existing customers to increase service and part sales.
- Assists customers in making service selections based on customers' needs, product specifications, and applicable regulations.
- Negotiates prices and terms of service agreements.
- Insures high service satisfaction, facilitating positive long-term relationships and high potential for repeat business with customers.
- Works on account and territory business plans on a multi-year, annual, quarterly, and monthly basis.
- Close cooperation with Service Team in Germany.
- Requires a bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong financial and business acumen.
- Must be able to participate in matrixed teams.
- Requires abilities with building relationships, listening, persuading, negotiating and time management.
- Requires knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services.
- This includes product demonstration and service processes.
- Knows principles and processes for providing customer service.
- This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be able to use Microsoft Office and Customer Relationship Management software.
