We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer Technician for our First Quality Retail Services, LLC located in King of Prussia, PA.
This position will be responsible for working in a safe manner to provide leadership, direction and training to Process Leaders and Line Mechanics. Works with Process Leaders, Mechanics and operating teams to ensure machine efficiencies are in line with plant budget goals.
Primary responsibilities include:
Identifies key barriers to improved machine reliability. Track downtime causes, and failure rates.
Identifies key barriers to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
Works closely with Shift Supervisors to ensure machine efficiency and waste goals are realized.
Interfaces with Maintenance, Process Managers and Technicians for alignment on technical changes or upgrades.
Provides technical training and cross training on all shifts to Process Leaders and Line Mechanics.
Develops standard operating procedures for all technical areas and maintains consistency across all four shifts.
Leads or represents the department in projects involving equipment or process changes.
MET is expected to obtain the production leadership and line teams' input and work jointly with Process Manager for all assigned projects.
Works in a PM group regarding preventative maintenance programs in order to optimize line efficiencies and minimize unplanned downtime.
Co-leads and manages the rapid changeover efforts with the Process Technicians (includes the reduction effort of changeovers and presenting the information).
Assist associates in analytical trouble shooting on the line.
Ensures root cause is identified for major failures and documents solutions and trains all shifts on the cause and solution.
The ideal candidate should possess the following:
Minimum of 5 years Maintenance experience in a Manufacturing environment.
Associates or BS degree in engineering (mechanical) preferred or equivalent work experience.
Good communication skills, both written and oral.
Demonstrated ability to problem solve technical issues effectively and to implement systems on line).
Must be able to speak, read and write the English language and perform basic mathematical skills.
Must be able to pass minimum required standard on all competency tests.
Ability to perform multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
