Starting Pay: $90,000-$100,000

Additional Incentives:

Work Hours: Primarily day shift with the need to support off shifts

Location: Crawfordsville has 2 facilities: South Plant located at 600 State Road 32 West; North Plant located at 1009 Sloan Street

As a Continuous Improvement- Process Engineer, you will:

  • Use your strong knowledge of process improvement methodology to analyze and interpret our manufacturing processes and data. Analyze trends or variations in order to define problems, prioritize, and drive solutions.
  • Develop and implement short-term and long-term plans to improve product and process quality, cycle time, productivity, and equipment downtime.
  • Create, monitor site metrics, and empower the team to understand and monitor the metrics too. Develop, implement improvement plans, and solicit ideas from all over the site.
  • Facilitate team meetings and lead teams to implement methods of measuring and holding gains in processes.
  • Train the team on continuous improvement methods and use of statistical analysis.
  • Gather, analyze and interpret data through evaluation of current processes. Prepare reports, charts, tables and other visual aids to summarize operations and highlight findings.
  • Teach the team about Continuous Improvement methodologies
  • Lead and facilitate activities targeted at cost reduction, productivity and process optimization, and quality performance.
  • Evaluate our process improvement opportunities, define process metrics, and develop improvement plans
  • Coordinate with other departments to prioritize process improvements to achieve operational excellence.
  • Be a daily advocate of benefits of continuous improvement while dealing with various perceptions of the tools and their ability to impact the organization.
  • 10% travel is required for improvement projects.

Qualifications:

  • Engineering degree or a related field; Bachelor's plus 5+ years of relevant experience OR high school diploma/GED plus 10+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience using structured problem solving tools (DMAIC, PDCA, etc.). Green Belt, Black Belt or Lean certification a plus.
  • Excellent project management and facilitation skills. Project Management certification preferred.
