Job Summary

We're seeking am energetic and experienced Program Coordinator to join our team! This position is full-time, 40 hours per week (9am-5:30pm), including every 3rd weekend Time off during the week will be given to accommodate for the weekend worked. Our Program Coordinator is directly responsible for planning, implementing, conducting, and evaluating programs for assigned residents on both an individual and group basis in our skilled nursing.

*$850.00 Retention Bonus is paid out in increments of 30, 60, and 90 days and the final payout is after 180 days of employment.

Summary of Responsibilities
• Assists Unit Program Coordinator in planning, developing, and implementing activities/programs
• Assists with documentation
• Conducts group leisure programs as scheduled
• Prepares rooms, equipment and supplies prior to each program and cleans up
• Informs, invites and motivates residents to attend programs
• Transports residents to and from programs
• Adapts program content to meet residents abilities
• Responsible for safety of residents
• Attends/Assists with outings

Skills
• Proven initiative and talents in arts and crafts or music- creative thinker
• Capable of working directly with the elderly in the area of leisure programs
• Relates well with senior citizens
• Works independently
• Ability to assess residents capabilities, limitations, and special needs
• Has good written and oral communication skills - reads, speaks and writes English
• Has good interpersonal skills including teamwork and group dynamics
• Has positive attitude, patience and ability to motivate

Qualifications
• High school diploma or GED
• Valid Driver’s License and good driving record
• Previous experience in long-term care or similar Therapeutic Recreation programs, preferred
