Accounting Manager | Washington Marriott Capitol Hill (Opening 2023)

PM Hotel Group Washington, DC Full-Time
Join us as Accounting Manager | Washington Marriott Capitol Hill (Opening 2023) and be a part of a collaborative team of hospitality pros who are dedicated to curating and delivering hotel experiences as unique as the city they call home.

With all the numbers and forecasts and spreadsheets flying around the accounting department every day, we need someone to manage all day-to-day activities. As the Accounting Manager, you'll be assisting with educating associates on corporate policy, and much more.

RESPONSIBILITIES + AUTHORITIES:

Here's a more in-depth look at what you'll be doing on a daily basis:

* Communicate and assist with training property team on Accounting Procedures.
* Verify the accuracy of night audit work through Excel spreadsheets and web-based applications.
* Assist property in the reconciliation and billing of city ledger accounts.
* Trace all credit card /cash deposits from PMS system to each bank account on a daily basis. Research any missing deposits or shortages.

QUALIFICATIONS + SKILLS:

* Bachelor's in Accounting or a similar field.
* You also at least 3 years' experience in accounting/finance.
* Previous experience in hotels is preferred.
* Positively and professionally communicate directives and guidance to your department.
