Electrical Equipment Maintenance Technician

Our food manufacturing client located in Hyattsville, MD is seeking an Electrical Equipment Maintenance Technician to join their team immediately.

Responsibilities:
*Create a schedule to provide preventative maintenance for bakery equipment
*Create and keep on track the preventive maintenance program
*Responsible for identifying and responding to any equipment maintenance needs
*Develop and maintain procedures and policies that will address maintenance needs that align with comapny's mission.
*Tests and troubleshoot production equipment
*Maintain shop and equipment in a clean and safe condition
*Promotes safe work environment
*Support production to maintain product quality
*Repairs all mechanical equipment as needed
*Knowledge of Local, State and Federal electric codes
*Able to read electrical diagrams, have good electrical skills on power and control
*Follows and participates in plant safety/housekeeping/GMP's guidelines designed to ensure a safe work environment
*Monitor abnormal process and equipment conditions, incidents, hazards, or emergencies.
*Requires ability to dismantle and rebuild multiple types of bakery equipment
*Repairs and Maintains bakery and office facilities in coordination with local and federal OSHA regulations
*Responsible for implementation and Management of SQF policies and procedures
*Must be able to work rotating weekends and holidays
*Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and required to be on feet up to 8 hours
*Ability to communicate effectively in English and Spanish (preferred)

Experience:
*3 years of experience with bakery equipment Minimum (5+ years preferred)
*Ability to work as part of a team or independently as necessary
*Possess an excellent attention to detail
*Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
*Knowledge with SAP preferred
*Able to obtain licenses that is required in the maintenance field

Education:
*High school or equivalent (Preferred)
