Utah Branch Manager
The Utah Branch Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations for the Fortis Bank Utah branch and ensuring consistent operations and procedures across the Bank. The ideal candidate can balance creating an exceptional client experience while ensuring branch policies and procedures are in regulatory compliance and conform to overall institution policies. This individual will be comfortable incorporating new and effective ways to achieve better results.
Responsibilities
Branch Management
* Oversee daily operations for the Utah branch, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in the delivery of products and services.
* Lead and manage team members with a continued focus on performance excellence, mentorship, and development.
* Ensure branch is adequately staffed.
* Manage relationships with appropriate vendors for branch and office services.
Client Services
* Ensure exceptional standards of client service and address all client inquiries promptly.
* Oversee daily operations for the Utah branch, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in the delivery of products and services.
* Oversee automated account opening processes, ensuring system breaks are promptly addressed with minimal client impact.
* Partner with operations teams on items related to client account maintenance and management.
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients.
Compliance and Risk Management
* Implement and monitor operational policies and procedures to ensure compliance with banking regulations.
* Conduct regular branch audits and inspections to identify and mitigate operational risks.
* Collaborate with the Information Technology team to ensure security and safety practices and procedures are effective and organized.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's Degree preferred; High school diploma required.
* Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in retail and/or commercial banking, client service, and banking branch operations.
* Minimum of 5-7 years of people management experience, including performance management, coaching and goal setting.
* Demonstrates a fundamental understanding of the banking industry, as well as a complete understanding of all banking products and services.
* Strong knowledge of banking regulations and compliance requirements.
* Embodies the Fortis Bank culture principles and competencies and consistently demonstrating a positive, ambitious, and solution-oriented attitude with clients and team members.
* Proficient and experienced in Microsoft Office suite products and technology, including but not limited to: Outlook, Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
* Strong ability to adapt to systems and technology, including but not limited to: client relationship management tools, banking core systems, and other common office management products.
* Communicates effectively and professionally, both verbally and via e-mail and other chat tools.
* Excellent organizational skills, regularly demonstrating the ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
* Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build meaningful professional relationships with senior management and team members.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Reporting Structure: Reports to the Senior Manager, Client Services
Position Requirements: This is a client service and operational position and does not have sales goals or requirements.
Office Requirements: This position is not a remote position and is required to work at the Fortis Bank branch in Midvale, UT.
Hour Requirements: Monday - Friday | 8:30AM - 5:00PM.
