ServiceNow Practice Head

Primary Location – Louisville, Kentucky

V-Soft Consulting is hiring! We are currently seeking a ServiceNow Practice Head to work out of our Louisville, Kentucky headquarter office. This is a full-time, direct hire position.

The ServiceNow Practice Head must possess a unique blend of managerial skills and be technically savvy with a big-picture vision to develop and maintain a set of SNOW-based service offerings. This position will enjoy the support of a mature organization along with the excitement of building critical new businesses within V-Soft Consulting Group.


Technical Requirements and Certifications »

  • Certified in ServiceNow Foundations/ServiceNow System Administrator
  • Certified ServiceNow Implementation Specialist
  • Certified in Application Creation in ServiceNow (desirable)
  • Trained in ServiceNow Advanced System Administration (desirable)
  • Trained in scripting in ServiceNow (desirable)

Education and Experience »

  • Track record in strategic guidance for delivery of solution architecture for ServiceNow platform and related programs of work
  • Experience in the full Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC), from EA to implementation, especially Agile
  • Experience with database design schemas and data modeling
  • Extensive experience in ITIL/ITSM, ITBM and ITOM

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities »

  • Knowledge of integration architectures, data architecture, overall solution architecture and process/business architecture is desired
  • Knowledge of Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), cloud computing services and systems integration is desired
  • Knowledge of new and emerging technologies and industry good practice for architecture within and related to ServiceNow platform
  • Knowledge in relevant capabilities (i.e. Scripting: JavaScript, Web Services, HTML, CSS, Jelly)
  • Knowledge in asset management, change management and contract management
  • Advanced knowledge of solution architecture, systems design and IT governance
  • Advanced understanding of IS strategy development
  • Customer-focused with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Stakeholder management and influencing skills
  • Skills in IT management, service-level management and project management
  • Skills in enterprise architecture development (ServiceNow)
  • Strong analytic and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as a contributing member of a small specialist technical team
  • Ability to present and explain technical information to diverse audiences


Job Responsibilities »

  • Strategy:
  • Identify market trends, next skills to develop for the team, and lucrative niche skills
  • Identify emerging areas for ServiceNow integration
  • Identify solutions modules to package for easy delivery
  • Design plan for reproducible success at scale with focus on emerging trends in the market area
  • Escalate operational issues that require management attention
  • Management:
  • Manage team utilization, forecasting resource requirements
  • Make sure required skills are available in the team
  • Plan the need for type, quality and quantity of resources needed for practice growth
  • Hire, prune oversight, and take high level interviews, including budget planning
  • Plan and refine current approach to training and certifying staff, including ongoing professional development in existing and emerging components of the ServiceNow platform offering
  • Report practice activity status, including schedules, cost and resource issues to the management team
  • Technical guidance side:
  • Ensure following of industry-standard best practices
  • Provide architectural guidance on solution building, developing solutions architecture
  • High-level monitoring of quality of deliverables while mapping best practices and scalability/re-usability of components
  • Finalize effort and cost estimates for projects
  • Partnerships side:
  • Identify key technology partners for growing business, obtaining trainings and certifications
  • Identify other vendors to complement and expand options for our clients
  • Marketing side:
  • Work with marketing teams to fine tune our Go To Market message to clients, and to align with practice strategy
  • Work closely with our marketing team to create and execute targeted penetration and expansion plans, including identification and pursuit of opportunities with new and existing clients as well as communicating successes through case studies
  • Contribute to, and drive team to deliver white papers, case studies, blogs and other forms of communication
  • Pre-Sales and Sales side:
  • Participate in prospect calls sharing information on V-Soft’s ServiceNow capabilities, products and technology during the sales cycle
  • Provide front-line technical, product and process support for internal sales team members and external customers with a high degree of satisfaction and technical expertise
  • Coordinate with team SMEs to complete technical sections of customer submitted requests for proposal
  • Assist in maintaining request for proposal question and response answer bank
  • Provide assistance to SMEs in support of functional prospect demos, architectures or other tools as required
  • Identify scope for, and propose to upsell to existing clients
  • Prepare materials for sales enablement
  • Deliver exceptional customer satisfaction and engagement growth within each account
  • Measurement and Improvement:
  • Analyze practice metrics against project objectives, targets and improvement goals
  • Conduct process reviews and ensures process compliance
  • Report practice activity and performance to management
  • Review and improve resource utilization of the practice activity
  • Report on the profit and loss of the practice
  • Review and track any deviations from training and certification plans
  • Lead the support and delivery on the enterprise-wide ServiceNow platform
  • Design accountability for ServiceNow strategic platform
  • Lead the ServiceNow solution architecture design and enhancement activities across Enterprise ServiceNow program of work
  • Accountable for operational performance of support and development partners
  • Drive cost transparency in the development and maintenance of ServiceNow enhancements
  • Take an active role in the development of other staff through mentoring of more junior SA resources
  • Stay current on ServiceNow products, architecture and applicable integrated technologies
