HYG is looking for an energetic Product Manager. As Product Manager - Robotics & Automation
, you will lead cross functional teams made up of manufacturing, dealers, engineering, purchasing, sales and marketing to create, develop and implement new product ideas and marketing projects designed to gain significant market share. Working under the guidance of the Director Solutions, this position will research customer and application needs, develop new product and services concepts and manage them from development through launch and throughout the product's lifecycle. This position will provide regular performance updates on share, profit and industry/key customer penetration for the assigned products and develop plans to address any issues and further grow share. This position will project manage all key product launches and will prepare the preparation of all documents for the Review Gate process. This position will manage the preparation of all the information required for the option feature matrix, global worksheet, specifications sheets, sales sheets and other data as needed. This position is responsible for providing analytical, financial, market research, product development, and marketing support to the Director Product Strategy. This position will track key industry and technology trends and their implications for HYG and the assigned product lines. This position will also manage all marketing inventory for the assigned product areas. The successful Product Manager- Robotics & Automation will have the following Key Accountabilities:
The successful Product Manager - Robotics & Automation will have the following Minimum Qualifications:
Product Management: Develop product strategies, roadmaps, positioning strategies and product concepts through extensive market and customer research. By collaborating with internal sales and dealer sales, seek to understand the reasons on why HYG’s product market share is doing what it is doing, then proactively establish and execute strategies which improve our share position. Develop product specifications, product feature matrix, competitive analysis, net price forecasts; assist and provide inputs to PLSG. Attend tradeshows and visit customers on a regular basis to gauge what products/solutions are needed from the market and our customers.
Product Marketing: Track product share and profit performance, produce market segmentation analysis and market forecasts Develop plans to grow share and address competitive threats. Project manage all product launches. Monitor and report on the competitive market atmosphere in terms of product launches, sales and marketing campaigns, price increases, etc. Take the lead on coordinating competitive benchmarking exercises to support our product development and product marketing activities. Support product marketing activities by interacting directly with end users and dealers on a regular basis.
Product Development: Work closely with engineering, brand and dealer teams throughout development process to ensure initial goals are met and proper trade off decisions are made
Product Program Management: participate in project team meetings; update project technical and financial data; provide all marketing inputs for product programs; coordinate prototype and pilot reviews; track problem log issues; track and maintain project schedules; assist with product board / product advisory group.
- BS degree, technical/engineering, or related field required. MBA preferred.
- Minimum 7 years relevant experience.
- Excellent analytical skills, business acumen and product marketing skills. Proven ability to lead cross functional teams to design and implement high impact product ideas under high pressure deadlines
