Your role in helping us shape the future:

Lead Intelsat's 5G/3GPP RAN Standardization and future 5G applications.  Represent Intelsat’s interests at the 3GPP RAN WG meetings and contribute to the standardization of LTE Advanced and 5G solutions.

Are you up to the challenge?

Prepare 3GPP meeting contribution documents related to NTN (non-terrestrial networks) and ensure GEO and NGSO services are integrated with terrestrial to achieve end-to-end ecosystems services.

Analyze and report on the contributions submitted by other delegates into RAN WGs.

Prepare 3GPP meeting reports and de-brief management.

Provide 5G system features, functions and requirements to system engineers to perform systems studies around Radio Resource Management and the Radio Physical Layer for radio functions including end-to-end systems & hybrid services of GEO, NGSO and terrestrial connectivity.

Can you drive these processes?

Interface with 3GPP members to support and approve Intelsat’s contributions.

Collaborate with stakeholders to gather input, determine priorities and facilitate decisions.  

Work closely with business units to support the deployment of new LTE & 5G products and features.

You should definitely have:

A 4-year degree in computer science or electrical engineering (an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of the stated requirement).

Minimum of 10-years of experience in the generation of wireless technologies and standardization.

Strong knowledge of LTE & NR 3GPP specifications, especially in the areas of the physical layer, radio resource management.

Effective English skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate and build strong relationships in diverse environments.

Candidate should be highly motivated, a self-starter, and a team player.

Demonstrated analytical mindset, high capacity, result oriented and ability to deliver under pressure.

Experienced project manager with the ability to multi-task, meet deadlines and prioritize.

It would be nice if you had:

An Advanced degree in computer science or electrical engineering

Knowledge of GEO and NGSO satellites and services.

Experience in the software development and analysis of simulations. Knowledge of simulation environments and tools like MATLAB.
