DXP's Northern California Service Center, located in Richmond, is one of only a few facilities in the San Francisco Bay Area with the capability and expertise to remanufacture heavy industrial process rotating equipment - primarily pumps.  Our Flowserve Authorized Repair Facility has earned an excellent reputation with our customers and in the industry. Service and quality are number one.

Responsibilities of the Pump Mechanic Apprentice include, but are not limited to:

  • Will assist Mechanics in teardown, inspection, and repair of pumps/rotating equipment
  • General shop duties
  • Assist with upkeep of shop and equipment
  • Work OT as needed
  • Make deliveries and trips to purchase parts or source machine work
  • Assist with safety equipment installations

    Attend training classes

  • Able to work in a team environment

Qualifications of the Pump Mechanic Apprentice include, but are not limited to:

  • Must have an acceptable driving record according to company guidelines
  • Above Average Basic Math Skills 
  • Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy items

Additional Information:

Physical Demand: Must be able to lift 50lbs. unassisted and 75 lbs. assisted

Travel: N/A

Education:  High School Diploma required
