Job Summary Reporting to the Director o f the Offi c e o f Equal Opportunity and Affirm a ti v e A c ti o n Programs , the Administrative Assistant provides da i l y s u pp o rt to e n s ure the e f f e c ti v e a nd e ffi c i e nt o pe r a t i o n o f the o ffi c e . The Administrative Assistant is expected to m a n a g e a nd m a int a in co nfi de nt i a l r e co r ds a nd e l e c tr o nic fil e s a s s oc i a t e d w ith a ffirm a ti v e a c ti o n, Title IX investigations and other discrimination co m p l a ints, as well as a ca de mi c/ s t a ff r ec ruitm e nt a c ti v it i es . Required Qualifications Associate's degree and five years of demonstrated progressively responsible high-level administrative experience, including work experience with equity, recruitment processes, non-discrimination, affirmative action, and/or complaint investigation systems. Combinations of education and related experience may be considered. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously. Ability to work effectively under pressure. Ability to comprehend, interpret, and communicate information accurately to a diverse population. Ability to understand and administer University policies, practices and procedures effectively. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Proficiency with personal computers and software, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Adobe. Ability to maintain and update the EOAA Programs website. Ability to perform basic budget management and analysis. Knowledge and experience with recruitment and selection processes. Excellent customer service skills, cultural competence, communication skills, and organizational skills.
