The Government Insurer is responsible for determining the acceptability of government Non-Delegated Correspondent, Wholesale and Retail closed loan packages. This position must ensure the loan closed meets government agency and regulatory guidelines for insurability to agencies and salability to investors. The Government Insurer is responsible for identifying deficiencies and assigning proper conditions for resolution that prevent the loan from being insured. The Government Insurer must also identify exceptions to Flagstar and agency policy and route those exceptions accordingly. If no deficiencies are found, the insurer is responsible for the data entry to obtain the endorsement from the appropriate agency. The Government Insurer is responsible for proper data entry, comparison of documents to system data and to ensure proper audit package assembly and delivery to agencies, as required. This position requires customer service skills to conduct outbound reach to Flagstar customers as well as internal business partners. Defined production standards must be adhered to while maintaining a high level of quality. - Auditing the loan for acceptability of documentation and assigning conditions, validation and data entry for insurability, assembly/delivery of audit packages to applicable agencies - Outbound reach to Flagstar customers and internal business partners

• 6 months to one year of mortgage experience preferred

• Excellent written and verbal customer service skills

• Critical thinking

• Work in a paperless environment and utilize an automated workflow

• Maneuver in multiple software applications

• Works independently and takes responsibility for production and quality of their work

• Attention to detail

• Experience working in a measured production environment

• Previous experience working with FHA Connection and VA WebLGY

• HS Diploma, GED or Foreign Equivalent
