Job Summary: Administers Hypervisors and provides 3rd level support and project work.

Primary Job Responsibilities

1. Works as second level for Ivanti requests for servers builds including all needed documentation that would follow a server build.
2. Provides second level support for monthly patching of server infrastructure including but not limited to any meeting or requests for more information on patching.
3. Provides secondary support for requests for AD Group creation, modification (With IT Security approval), and any user object modification.
4. Works on automation of tasks using PowerShell, Power CLI, and other systems as requested.
5. Administers hardware and hypervisors including but not limited to hardware and hypervisor provisioning.
6. Trains team members on how technology functions in a more in-depth fashion and how it is enhanced to address unique Delta Dental business or technical requirements.
7. Primary owner of the creation of work instructions and validation of work instructions and/or procedures annually or as appropriate for update.
Perform other related assigned duties as necessary to complete the Primary Job Responsibilities as described above.

Position requires a bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or related field and three years' work experience in server, virtual systems, or storage administration with a system certification preferred. Will accept any suitable combination of education, training, or experience.

Position requires knowledge of the following at varying levels depending on assignments: Windows Server, VMWare, Active Directory (AD), shell scripting, automation/scheduling concepts, hardware components and internals as well as server build and configuration; ability to analyze and resolve complex problems using independent judgment while communicating effectively with internal and external customers. Position requires the ability to provide on-call support twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week.

This job's responsibilities may include task assignment to support, administer, or access systems, which contractually requires ADP I or II Public Trust Access Level. Eligibility for ADP Clearance requires US Citizenship.
