Job Purpose

Honda Aero LLC in Burlington, NC is in search of a member of an associate team with the responsibility of coordinating Production & Maintenance Repair & Overhaul (MRO) planning and control workflows between internal and external organizations for timely allocation decisions and movement of parts/engines to meet customer delivery schedules.



Key Accountabilities

  • Communicate between internal and external organizations to optimize MRO & production planning / control workflows
  • Setup, run, and confirm Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and issue schedules for all MRO & production planning activities.
  • Define realistic company level goals for minimum part inventory and manage applicable inventory reductions in line with the company financial objectives.
  • Coordinate between HAI's purchasing and HAI's manufacturing & MRO on parts status and build requirements
  • Per MRO engine event, ensure all material and labor assigned to orders is correct.  Work closely with the Joint Venture Accounting Department to reconcile purchase orders, part consumption report, and invoices.  
  • Maintain planning related IT system control including shop order & work order entry and release, routing maintenance, and maintenance of operation sequencing.
  • Chair of regular production and MRO planning meetings with purchasing, vendors, and joint venture partners. Issue appropriate meeting minutes and directives
  • Develop and present MRO shop visit demand and shop capacity ability to allow safe customer aircraft engine operation
  • Monitor service bulletin (SB) and aviation directive (AD) impact and compliance to provide direction to the MRO shop as well as the Joint Venture



Qualifications, Experience, and Skills

Minimum Educational Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Course study including Planning Theory and inventory management  a plus

Minimum Experience

  • 5 years experience in manufacturing or production management /planning
  • Maintenance and Repair shop experience considered an asset
  • ERP & Master Scheduling experience preferred

Other Job-Specific Skills

  • Strong Excel and Microsoft Project skills
  • Detail oriented and strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to self-manage workload and efficiently manage multiple tasks



Working Conditions

  • Climate-controlled office environment.
  • Possibility of up to 20% remote work
  • The performance of this position may occasionally require exposure to the manufacturing areas where under certain areas require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses with side shield, mandatory hearing protection and safety shoes.
  • Some travel may be required but limited to US domestic
