LVN - NEWPORT BEACH SLEEP CENTER

Salary Range: $26.57 - $40.85/hour. Actual compensation may vary based on geographic location, work experience, skill level, and education.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Provide care within the scope of the Vocational Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards under the direction of a registered nurse or physician.
2. Assist in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
3. Follow patient identification procedures, provide appropriate information for all patient procedures, and collect and handle specimens.
4. Assess and implement prescribed interventions for the patient.
5. Implement and document discharge plans for each patient.
6. Recognize ethical/legal/medical dilemmas in nursing practice and confer with appropriate resource personnel.
7. Participate in maintaining a safe patient care environment.
8. Assist with the care and maintenance of department equipment.
9. Complete and accurately chart patient records and maintain quality measures.
10. Collaborate with other disciplines of the health care team to ensure timely, safe, and quality care.
11. Provide a safe, HIPAA compliant environment for patients and staff.
12. Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• One or more years of experience in a healthcare facility (Specialty Clinics can hire a new grad LVN with no experience).
• Basic keyboarding skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, and Excel preferred.
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Experience with Electronic Medical Records preferred.

License Required:

• Current LVN License to practice in the State of California.

Certifications Required:

• Current BLS Certification.
