Your role:

  • Provide component level repair with a working knowledge of various types of test equipment (i.e. oscilloscopes, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, multi-meters, multi-function test sets, etc.), and skills in their use.

What you’ll do all day:

  • Troubleshoot methodologies to repair electronic test equipment. Follow initial instructions, equipment requirements, and advise from supervisor or engineer as needed. Construct components, subunits, or simple models or adapts standard equipment; may troubleshoot and correct malfunctions. Conduct various tests or experiments which may require minor modifications in test setups or procedures as well as subjective judgments in measurement, selecting, preparing, and operating standard test equipment and records test data

Minimum requirements for this position:

  • 5 years of experience with component level repair in any related Military Occupational Specialty MOS and 2 year technical trade course and study or a four year engineering technology degree.

Desired skills and experience for this position:

  • Computer skills in MS Suite with networking knowledge of GPIB, serial, and RS232 interfacing of automate test equipment. Ability to perform assignments that are not completely standardized or prescribed.
