Although we are currently in the North American market, we see great opportunity to expand our markets. To support this, we are currently looking for a Senior Accident Disability Program Underwriter, to manage our professional sports disability business in our Accident & Health department. We have offices throughout the country and we are flexible about working in an office or fully remote.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

* Lead underwriter for the product line

* Account executive in charge of internal and external relationships

* Continually develop subject matter expertise for the Professional Sports Disability block

* Manage Underwriting Guidelines & Pricing

* Risk assessment and reinsurance strategy

* Collaborate effectively with Administration, Accounting, Actuarial and Ceded Reinsurance support

* Collaborate with the MGU on changes to policies to improve/enhance suite of products and profitability

* Promote the Everest brand as we are a go-to market in the Professional Sports Disability space

* Promote the Everest culture of teamwork, respect, and inclusion

Qualifications, Education & Experience:

* Minimum 3-5 years of relevant underwriting experience

* College degree or the equivalent

Knowledge, Skills & Competencies:

* Prior experience with reinsurance terms and processes, both treaty and facultative

* Strong interpersonal skills

* Commitment to business development

* Strong communication and auditing skills

* Solution-oriented mindset

* Willingness to travel
